The court may schedule a technical tutorial prior to the claim construction hearing wherein both parties are given the opportunity to describe their technology to the judge in the form of a video or slide show presentation.  Although the rules typically do not allow arguments in the technical presentation, the presentation provides an excellent opportunity for the Defendant to lay the foundation for a non-infringement defense by describing the technical features disclosed in the patent as compared to the the technical features of the Defendant's accused devices.
